Become a Crisis Center Volunteer!

The Crisis Center could not operate without its 80-100 volunteers. Volunteers come from all walks of life. Four times a year, the Crisis Center provides over 45 hours of intensive training to enable our volunteers to provide confidential, individualized service. Each volunteer must:

bulletbe at least 18 years of age
bulletbe a good listener
bulletbe able to successfully complete the volunteer training
bulletbe able to work 39 four-hour shifts over a one-year
bulletperiod of time (about one shift a week).

We especially need volunteers who can work shifts during daytime business hours and overnight shifts.

There is a $25.00 training fee (scholarships available).

You must be able to attend every session of training.
