Volunteer Job Description

The Crisis Center could not operate without its 80-100 volunteers.
Volunteers come from all walks of life. Four times a year, the Crisis Center
provides over 45 hours of intensive training to enable our volunteers to
provide confidential, individualized service.
Training is a great opportunity to help others in need, meet wonderful
caring people, and develop incredibly useful skills. Crisis Center
volunteers make an impact in our community. Consider joining our
dedicated team!
Each volunteer must:

You can apply at any time. Training dates for 2010 are underway;
see below.
There is a $25.00 training fee (scholarships available).

Training Dates, 2010
Summer Training
Evening Training:
Starts Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
Training goes from 6:00p.m. – 10:00 p.m. every Wednesday for 8 weeks.
Day Training:
Starts Thursday, June 10, 2010. Training goes from 9:00a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
every Thursday for 8 weeks.
Fall Training
Evening Training:
Starts Thursday, September 7, 2010.
Training goes from 6:00p.m. – 10:00 p.m. every Thursday for 8 weeks.
Day Training:
Starts Wednesday, September 6, 2010. Training goes from 9:00a.m. – 1:00
p.m. every Wednesday for 8 weeks.
