
Karen
Michler
Karen and her husband
moved to West Lafayette from Rhinelander, WI in June of 1999. She graduated
from the University of Kentucky and attended graduate school at The Ohio
State University. She taught special education for 9 years and first grade
for 13 years.
Her volunteer
activities have included working at a Domestic Violence Shelter, teaching
Sunday school, and serving as a lay chaplain at the local hospital in
Rhinelander. She is also a volunteer at the Crisis Center.
Karen enjoys
gardening, reading, exercising, raising African Violets, collecting old
Santa post cards, and is learning how to needlepoint.
Karen and her husband
enjoy traveling. Their favorite cities are Florence, Italy and Krakow,
Poland.
Karen began with the
Crisis Center in July 2005 and enjoys the challenges and responsibilities of
her position as Administrative Assistant.
